As its business expands, Enterprise CarShare has released its Enterprise CarShare app for iPhone and Android users. It enables U.S. members to make or modify reservations, extend rentals and choose pickup locations, says the company.

“Enterprise CarShare offers consumers a cost-effective alternative to car ownership, and as our growth numbers show, that has great appeal for many of today’s drivers,” said Ryan Johnson, vice president overseeing Enterprise’s CarShare, Rideshare and Zimride operations. “We anticipate continued interest in transportation sharing in the years ahead, and we’re confident that Enterprise CarShare is well- positioned for further expansion.”

Over the past year, Enterprise CarShare has launched more than 30 new programs in North America. It is available in several major U.S. cities, including Boston, Honolulu, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, New York and Washington, D.C. The car-sharing service has also added 25 college campuses this fall, including Emory University and the University of Kansas.

Today, the car-sharing service is available in more than 35 U.S. states, Canada and the U.K., on nearly 100 university campuses and through 40 dedicated government and business accounts, according to Enterprise.
