FlightCar Launches Monthly Program at LAX

Peer-to-peer car-sharing company FlightCar has launched its FlightCar Monthly program at its Los Angeles Airport (LAX) location.
This new monthly program offers car owners up to $300 per month and free parking when renting out their unused car to pre-screened travelers for at least 30 days. The new LAX car-sharing monthly service builds on the success of monthly programs at FlightCar’s locations at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Boston Logan International Airport.
“Many people are making car payments and just letting their cars sit, or even paying $200-350 per month for long-term parking,” said Rujul Zaparde, FlightCar CEO and founder. “We’ve seen our Boston and San Francisco monthly customers completely eliminate their parking expenses and even offset some of, if not all, their car payments for the month they let us rent out their car. With the expense of owning a car in L.A., especially a secondary vehicle not in use, we think Angelenos will love the opportunity to reap the benefits of participating in the sharing economy.”
The start of the new Los Angeles monthly program comes on the heels of FlightCar reaching more than 15,000 members in its first year, says the company.
