Hertz has been awarded a three-year contract to supply car rental services to the New Zealand government. Hertz was named the winner of the first All-of-Government (AoG) competitive tender for car rental services.

The AoG contract allows New Zealand government agencies to rent Hertz economy, compact, intermediate and full-size vehicles, including access to Hertz’s selection of 4WDs, minivans and the Prestige Collection, says Hertz.

“We are extremely proud to provide our innovative car rental solutions to New Zealand government agencies through the All-of-Government Rental Vehicles contract,” said Michel Taride, president of Hertz International. “Hertz offers a wide range of products and services backed by our extensive car rental experience with the public sector in New Zealand and across the world.”

In addition, Hertz programs such as Gold Plus Rewards, NeverLost satellite navigation system in multiple languages and Premium Roadside Assistance are also available in New Zealand.

"Serving the government through this prestigious car rental contract is a testament to our diverse fleet, enhanced customer service and extensive local network,” said Mark Righton, country manager for New Zealand. “We have strong experience working together with corporate agencies and government departments, and we're looking forward to supporting the important work of the New Zealand government."

In general, AoG contracts establish a single supply agreement between government and approved suppliers for goods and services.
