The Hertz Corporation won the German Business Traveller award for "Best Car Rental Company in Europe" and "Best Car Rental Company in the U.S." The reader survey, conducted annually, evaluates an array of companies in diverse sectors of the travel industry.

In addition, Hertz received the "Best Car Rental Company" award from UK-based Buying Business Travel. Selected by a panel of judges from the fleet and travel industry buying community, this is the fourth year Hertz won the Buying Business Travel Award.

"Hertz began 2010 winning two prestigious European awards while ending 2009 with two awards from the travel agent readers of Travel Weekly," commented Mark P. Frissora, Hertz Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Bestowed upon Hertz by independent consumers, members of the trade, and editorial boards, winning 16 awards in 2009 is an accomplishment we're proud to have achieved. These awards are a testament to the Hertz family who are dedicated to providing each and every customer with the utmost in service, as well as our customers who recognize the inherent value in the products and services we provide."

The two European awards come on the heels of Hertz winning the "Best Domestic" and "Best International" awards from the travel agent readers of US-based trade publication Travel Weekly. Throughout 2009, Hertz won 16 awards, including the esteemed Conde Nast Traveler "Readers' Choice" award, winning for the 17th consecutive year; the Business Traveller (UK) awards for "Best Car Rental in North America," for the 16th consecutive year, and the "Best Car Rental Company Worldwide"; the Reader's Digest (UK) "Most Trusted Brand of Car Hire" annual consumer survey award; and Hertz was selected for the fourth-consecutive year as a member of TTG Asia's Travel Hall of Fame.

Hertz Switzerland and Hertz Czech Republic were also honored with "Best Car Rental Company" accolades by Travel Inside and Travel Trade Gazette of each country respectively.
