The Hertz Corp., together with its subsidiary Navigation Solutions, launched 11 new travel apps designed to make itineraries. The app helps users to travel throughout different neighborhoods, finding unique tours, local shops and events and other features.
The initial host of cities includes Dallas-Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami-West Palm Beach, New York, Sacramento-Northern California, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Boston and Washington, D.C. Additional cities are expected to be added mid-year for a total of 18 My Explore cities.
Hertz NeverLost “My Explore” is equipped with six categories: Explore, Top Must See, Events, Favorites, Tours and Neighborhoods.
While the first city app is free, each additional map will cost $0.99.
The My Explore app complements Hertz NeverLost navigation unit with download codes for transfer of information to the unit and routing. Hertz NeverLost is available upon request in select Hertz vehicles for $12.99 per day, which is supported by free online trip planning at http://www.neverlost.com/.
The NeverLost travel services also include free, concierge-style customer service that offers live travel support from 6:30 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, for help with trip planning, tips and re-routing of any travel plans.
Hertz Unveils New Mobile Apps for Travelling
‘My Explore’ city apps will only be available on the iPhone and in the iTunes store, and complements the Hertz NeverLost navigation system.
