Monarch Airlines Appoints CarTrawler Car Rental Provider
CarTrawler, an online global car rental platform, becomes the exclusive car rental provider for British-based Monarch Airlines.
Monarch Airlines has appointed CarTrawler, an online global car rental platform, as its exclusive car rental partner.
British-based Monarch Airlines joins more than 40 airlines across six continents that use the CarTrawler car rental platform to connect their passengers to car rental. Through this platform, CarTrawler provides 300 million airline passengers with access to car rental all over the world, according to the company.
Mike McGearty, CarTrawler CEO, said: “In 2012, airline ancillary revenue was valued at $27.1 billion. This figure has doubled since 2009 and continues to grow as the aviation industry expands its retail portfolio in response to passenger demand for choice and convenience. The commercial opportunity that ancillary products, such as car rental, present airlines with is becoming increasingly more significant. CarTrawler looks forward to working on behalf of Monarch Airlines to maximize the full potential of their car rental program across their entire route network.”
Kevin George, Monarch Airlines managing director, said: “We are pleased to have launched our partnership with CarTrawler. The experience that CarTrawler brings with them will ensure that our passengers have even greater choice, value and service when booking their flights and car hire, all from the website www.monarch.co.uk.”
