According to an article on WKBW.com, a man in Lockport, N.Y., kept his Hertz rental car for more than two months past the due date on the rental agreement. He is now being charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle.
The article reported Christopher Abbott rented a 2011 Nissan Altima from Jan. 27 to Feb. 19, but did not return the car until May 5 to a different Hertz location and was arrested a few days later. Hertz employees attempted to charge his credit card for the extra days but the card was cancelled.
