PLIBA Car Rentals for Mobile Web Launched
The first worldwide mobile Internet car rental Web site was recently launched in Europe, allowing users to rent cars from 4,000 locations.
Mobile Internet Booking providers PLIBA recently announced the first global service for car rentals on the mobile Web, offering a choice of over 4,000 pick-up locations including every major airport and city.
By browsing a mobile phone to PLIBA.mobi anyone with a GPRS or 3G phone can book discounted car rental securely on any wireless network.
The PLIBA (Please Let It Be Available) mobile portal allows anyone to post anything to the list of services available for booking on the mobile Internet.
Market research shows that people want to be able to do things while on the move and without having to make a phone call - maybe while on the train to the airport, or sitting in a meeting where they can't talk or use a computer.
PLIBA doesn't charge the user for this service, and it's easier for people to use PLIBA on their phone than to get out a laptop and go online.
This a very exciting time for the mobile internet, and useful sites like PLIBA are helping it take off.
