Toronto-based Rent Centric, a provider of car rental management systems, has announced a partnership with VerX Direct.

Under the partnership, Rent Centric will have access to VerX Direct’s real-time driver’s license verification system to approve accounts for self-service customers, according to the company.

Every year, the use of fraudulent and suspended driver’s licenses costs the auto rental industry in theft, damages, lost revenue, liability, and litigation. By incorporating this verification system, car rental agencies can reduce the risk of fraudulent rentals, says the company.
