RentalMatics and Rently have agreed to integrate their platforms, allowing car rental operators to connect real-time vehicle data with rental management systems.
The integration uses an application programming interface to link RentalMatics’ telematics data with Rently’s software platform. The companies said the connection is designed to provide operators with real-time visibility into vehicle location, condition, and usage.
The system includes features such as automated damage detection, theft alerts, and vehicle allocation tools, aimed at reducing manual processes and improving fleet management efficiency.
Rental operators using the integration will be able to monitor vehicles across multiple locations and respond more quickly to operational problems, according to the companies.
“This isn’t just about more data, it’s about making that data work for the end user,” said Matilda Walsh, business development manager at RentalMatics, in an April 2 news release.
Recently, CEO Catriel Aubone said the integration is intended to simplify operations by reducing the need to switch between systems and improving access to fleet information.
The partnership reflects broader industry efforts to adopt connected vehicle technology and data-driven operations. RentalMatics said the agreement marks its ninth API integration with rental technology providers.
Both companies operate globally, with RentalMatics active in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, and Rently serving clients in more than 40 countries.
