In the latest edition of the “Mobile Travel App Guide” published by the ITB, a leading travel trade show in Berlin, the Sixt app came out on top with the best features for mobile users.

In the guide, experts examined up to five apps in a total of 25 categories, judging criteria such as functionality, design, availability and compatibility with a range of platforms.

Rated with a total of four out of five stars, the Sixt app beat other competitors in the car rental category. According to Sixt, the app scored points with its availability on almost every platform and for its social media features.

Using this free app, users can easily book Sixt rentals using their smartphones and tablets; it employs GPS to locate the nearest Sixt operation offering the desired car. Similar to booking on the Internet or at the service station, customers can choose between all available models, including trucks, and benefit from the latest offers and discounts, says Sixt.

“This app enables us to offer our mobile customers our Sixt premium service at all times,” says Konstantin Sixt, managing director for Sixt. “Users’ extremely positive feedback and the test rating by the experts have confirmed to us that we are fulfilling our customers’ needs in this area, which means that we’re satisfying their changing usage habits in a really good way.”
