TSD Mobility Solutions, a global software provider for rental car companies, on April 10 revealed its long-term strategic product enhancements for the TSD RENTAL system, which includes multiple releases throughout 2025.

This spring, the company launched its newly redesigned TSD RENTAL mobile application. It represents a future approach of how car rental companies can interact with consumers to streamline their operations.

Rollout plans for TSD RENTAL’s platform are underway and expected to be unveiled in the coming months.

The product revamp reflects TSD’s plan to bring more consumer-facing capabilities into the operational side of the rental business, improving the experiences for rental agents and their customers. New features allow consumers to book, manage, and retain their own information. This enhancement paves the way for streamlined self-service rental opportunities.

“We work with the largest rental car companies in the world,” said Shawn Concannon, president of TSD, in a news release. “With their help and feedback, we’ve developed features that put this cutting-edge technology in the hands of their agents and customers.”

Over 16,000 businesses use TSD’s dealership and rental software solutions today. In 2024, TSD processed four million rental agreements and four million reservations. Also known for its OEM courtesy vehicle market offerings, TSD’s roots are firmly grounded in the rental industry, where the company began three decades ago.

Years of experience, plus changing markets, propelled the new tools. As fleet numbers fluctuate, TSD has built tighter inventory controls for the fleet's lifecycle using integrated buying and selling tools based on local markets. Changes like this will help car rental companies adapt quicker to economic highs and lows.

Planned releases for 2025 include improved rate management and more visual damage documentation flows. Mobile users can leverage QR codes more in the new product —both at the traditional counter and when completing self-service rentals — to speed up the overall process.
