CHICAGO -- United Airlines' new summer promotion lets travelers earn an extra rental day from Hertz each time they purchase a ticket on United, United Express, Ted or Star Alliance.
"We are pleased to be able to partner with United to help our mutual customers enjoy their summer travels," said Frank Camacho, Hertz's staff vice president of marketing.
To earn an extra day free from Hertz, customers must book a United flight by July 22 and rent any size vehicle for two or more days, including a Saturday, in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico. Other restrictions apply.
United's Mileage Plus members can also earn 50 miles per qualifying rental day on rentals of one to four days, or 500 miles on qualifying rentals of five days or more, as well as 1,000 miles when they book a qualifying flight on united.com.
