Recently, Alamo Rent A Car completed a major redesign of its website, showcasing several new features designed to make the rental process more convenient, the company announced.
The new site provides an improved reservation and rental experience. In addition to the ability to quickly filter vehicles, browse deals and create, view, and modify a reservation. Alamo.com now offers enhanced features, including:
Accelerated Check-in
Travelers can check-in online and provide their driver’s license and contact information in advance to save time at the counter and quickly get on the road. As an added loyalty member benefit, Accelerated Check-in is automatically activated for Alamo Insiders with complete profiles.
Skip the Counter
For an even faster, low-touch experience, travelers can pay and receive their rental agreements in advance to skip the counter altogether and go directly to their car. This optional service is offered free of charge at select locations.
Additional Drivers
Spouses and domestic partners who meet age and driver’s license requirements are automatically able to drive the car with no additional fee.
The new site also features the Alamo Insiders loyalty program that offers 5% off base rates, the ability to store information for faster reservations, automatic check-ins and trip management.
This, combined with the Complete Clean Pledge enhanced by a new collaboration with Clorox, is meant to help pent-up travelers get back on the road when they are ready to travel.
Each vehicle is thoroughly cleaned between every rental, including sanitizing with a disinfectant that meets leading health authority requirements. Particular attention is given to more than 20-plus high-touch points, including the key and fob, steering wheel, center console, and seat cushions.
Alamo also provides travelers with a Clorox Disinfecting Wipe in every rental vehicle which is approved by the EPA to kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, when used as directed. Each wipe includes directions for use and is accompanied by instructions to use it on the vehicle’s high-touch, hard non-porous surfaces.
