RentalMatics, a telematics provider to the rental car industry, recently partnered with Hertz Iceland to strengthen its presence in the Nordic market.
As a leading car rental brand in Iceland, Hertz is applying telematics data to improve operations, reduce costs, and boost customer service.
This collaboration will help Hertz Iceland adapt to digital technology and data to remain flexible to meet future business demands.
"Telematics is redefining industry standards and our technology drives significant improvements in productivity, revenue, efficiency, sustainability, and road safety,” said Colm Brady, CEO and co-founder of RentalMatics, in a March 3 news release. “Hertz Iceland embodies forward-thinking innovation and is an ideal partner for our evolving technology platform.”
Sigurdur Berndsen, CEO of Hertz Iceland, added, "RentalMatics’ technology enables us to manage our fleet with precision while mitigating risk. Through advanced data analysis, we can enhance the travel experience for our customers — for instance, alerting drivers to unsuitable terrain conditions in the Highlands or providing real-time onboard diagnostics alerts to help protect the driver and our vehicles."
