TSD Mobility and Uber for Business are collaborating to enable dealerships to request Uber rides directly from within the TSD platform, giving service teams a flexible, on-demand transportation option for customers and employees.
This collaboration gives thousands of dealerships nationwide access to this capability.
Through the TSD and Uber for Business integration, dealership staff can request rides for customers while they’re waiting for repairs or other services, without switching applications.
The experience is designed to simplify operations, expand transportation choices beyond traditional loaners and shuttles, and ensure courtesy vehicles are given to customers who need them most.
This process automatically populates destination details and provides real-time estimates for timing, cost, and available ride options.
By submitting a “New Uber Ride Request” on the TSD platform, dealership staff can schedule pickups, select the appropriate ride type, and manage the entire process from one centralized system.
“Dealerships are expanding their transportation options and offering more than just traditional loaner cars and shuttle options,” said Shawn Concannon, president of TSD, in a Jan. 29 news release. “We also understand that not all customers want a loaner vehicle. Uber provides alternative transportation options for dealerships. TSD wants to manage the flow of that process via our transportation hub.”
This collaboration also brings operational benefits to the dealerships. For the budget-conscious, built-in controls give dealerships complete fiscal oversight of courtesy ride costs, enabling them to manage spending with confidence.
The integration also supports vehicle delivery, eliminating the need for chase vehicles. After delivering a customer’s vehicle, employees can request a return Uber ride through TSD, allowing dealerships to complete more tasks with fewer staff and resources.
“Dealerships are under increasing pressure to deliver a seamless, convenient experience for their customers,” said Josh Butler, general manager and global head of sales at Uber for Business. “By teaming up with TSD, we’re helping dealerships offer reliable access to on-demand rides as part of their existing workflow, making it easier than ever to keep customers moving while maintaining control over operations and costs.”
