In a new two-year contract, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) has selected Enterprise Rent-A-Car as the contracted rental car vendor at 18 Navy Exchange (NEX) locations.

The partnership will provide those locations on-base access to car rentals, truck rentals and car-sharing services, says the company.

These NEX locations include Naval Station in San Diego, Naval Air Station in Fallon, Nev., Naval Air Station in Key West, Fla., Naval Station in Bremerton, Wash., Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., and Joint Base Belle in Chasse, La.

"Enterprise Holdings not only is the largest car rental company in Florida, it’s the largest in the world in terms of revenue, fleet and locations,” said Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Associated Industries of Florida. “So it is exciting that Enterprise continues to extend its network of more than 400 Florida car rental branches and integrate its local service to support the military and their families in the Key West, Jacksonville, Mayport and Pensacola regions."

Enterprise’s contract with NEXCOM runs from May 1, 2014, through April 30, 2016. It includes two two-year optional extensions for a maximum potential contract term of six years, says the company.
