Sharon Faulkner, executive director of the American Car Rental Association, met with Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) in Washington, D.C., to continue the fight against rental car excise taxes and rental recall legislation.
Thune chairs the Senate Commerce Committee, which will likely play a significant role on both of these issues.
Last fall, Faulkner also traveled to D.C. to meet with House Speaker John Boehner in order to update legislators on the rental car industry and discuss issues affecting the industry, including excise taxes.
