Advantage Launches Franchise Operations
Peter Fritz joins the company as director of franchising operations.
Advantage Rent A Car announced today the launch of its franchising program.
The plans for franchising were announced at the 2007 Car Rental Show in Las Vegas in June. Groundwork for a successful program was laid earlier in the year when Peter Fritz joined the company as director of franchising operations.
Fritz has served nearly 30 years in the car rental industry in positions ranging from manager trainee at Thrifty Car Rental; co-founder of Freedom Rent A Car and most recently as director licensee development at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group. His extensive experience in franchise development makes him ideally suited to this position.
“It’s really exciting to have as many great cities available now to develop new locations with our new business partners, big or small. With the car rental market expanding by over a billion dollars annually and the strength of the Advantage brand, we are positioned to provide great opportunity and support for our new licensees. The Company’s goal is to grow our franchise network across the U.S., Canada and overseas,” commented Fritz.
Advantage’s domestic franchise program compliments an already flourishing affiliate program under the Advantage Rent A Car brand in 36 countries worldwide. For information on the Advantage franchising program, email franchise@advantage.com or call 866-497-4029.
