Tornadoes and hail have damaged several vehicle fleets in Alabama, increasing demand for rental vehicles, according to Decatur Daily.
Baseball-sized hail struck areas in several Alabama counties, affecting over 400 vehicles in Nissan and Chevrolet dealerships, as well as Walmart employee vehicles.
A Hertz agency in Decatur has rented out its entire fleet of 50 vehicles, with a growing waiting list. Some Hertz employees have returned company vehicles to meet the demand for replacement cars.
One Enterprise location in Decatur had no available rental vehicles, but the company announced plans to meet the rental demand with 500 additional vehicles.
