Formerly known as Airport Van Rental, AVR Van Rental announced its new CEO, Aria Irani, effective Sept. 1, 2022.

Aria took over the business from his father, Yaz Irani, who founded the business in 2007 in Los Angeles. With an engineering and technology background, Aria joined the company in 2017 to help promote its growth. Shortly after, they launched a government procurement division under Vanpool.

The family-owned rental operator and affiliate network offers short and long-term van rentals for road trips and tourist groups. It specializes in 7-15-passenger vans. Currently, AVR Van Rental has seven flagship locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Las Vegas, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta, and affiliates in Florida, Illinois, and Iowa.

“We operate with a lot of local businesses and local customers, so we don't want people to just think that we’re airport specific,” Aria said of the name change, “although our locations are always going to be around airports, it’s a big part of our business.”
