Ireland’s GoCar carsharing service has expanded to the city of Limerick, according to a Limerick Post report.

Partnering with Irish Rail, the vehicles will be available at the Colbert train station in Limerick. GoCar is seeking approval from Limerick City and County Council to extend its bases across Limerick, according to the report.

Limerick customers can book GoCar vehicles online or via the app. The car can be unlocked using a GoCar or a phone with the GoCar app, says the report.  Rates start at 8 euros per hour with 50 kilometers of driving included.

“With GoCar planning to double the number of vehicles available in Ireland this year, we are calling on Limerick residents to let us know where exactly they would like to see carsharing spaces so we can make the service accessible to as many people as possible,” Colm Brady, GoCar’s managing director, told the Limerick Post.

Currently, GoCar is available in Dublin and Cork.
