Green Motion Opens Airport Location in Lisbon

Green Motion celebrates the launch of its flagship airport location in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, with plans to expand in two additional locations in Portugal in 2023.

Green Motion operates in about 60 countries across 600 locations, including the newly opened location at Lisbon Airport.

Green Motion continues its global expansion marking the opening of its new facility in Lisbon, Portugal. The grand opening event was attended by the owners of the Green Motion Master Country Franchise for Portugal Grupo Mcoutinho, an auto dealership group with about 80 locations supporting 19 car brands. Also in attendence were some of Green Motion’s broker partners and representatives from the Green Motion International senior leadership team including CEO Richard Lowden and COO Naomi Suzuki.

"We are overjoyed that we were able to open one of the most beautiful Green Motion rental locations at the grand opening event at Lisbon Airport today, and we thank Paulo Periera and Grupo MCoutinho for choosing Green Motion and representing our brand in the best possible way with this flagship store," said Green Motion's founder and CEO, Richard Lowden in a statement. "Grupo Mcoutinho’s acquisition of our master franchise for Portugal supports a growing trend of traditional automotive businesses expanding their mobility portfolio."

Green Motion Portugal plans to expand to two new locations in Porto and Faro in early 2023, building on the success of its flagship Lisbon location. Green Motion now operates in 60 countries across 600 locations.
