Hertz announced that its brand has taken to the sky on the livery of a Eurowings Airbus A320. In a testament to the “fly-drive” partnership formed between the two companies in March 2018, the Airbus has been specially painted in the renowned Hertz yellow and features the car rental giant’s logo and tagline, “We’re here to get you there.”

The reveal of the new livery took place at Düsseldorf, Germany airport this week in a ceremony that celebrated the companies’ joint commitment to provide the carrier’s passengers with a superior customer experience in the air and on the ground.  After the launch event took place, the Airbus A320 embarked on its first flight with the new branding to London, near the headquarters of Hertz Europe.

Eurowings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Group, flies to more than 150 destinations in over 50 countries around the world. The Hertz and Eurowings partnership offers the carrier’s passengers access to a broad choice of car rental options from Hertz and Thrifty, along with bespoke promotions and benefits. In addition, members of the Eurowings Boomerang Club earn a minimum of 500 miles on their Hertz rentals and 250 miles on their Thrifty rentals.

The design and hand painting of the special livery was made possible thanks to close collaboration with a full team of art directors, graphic designers, paint specialists, technicians, and engineers at East Midlands airport in Nottingham, UK.
