Mexico City Launches Hourly Rental Program
The Carrot Shared Automobile System will introduce 20 rentals at 16 car-return locations in the capital.
According to Fox News Latino, Mexico City launched the auto rental program, the Carrot Shared Automobile System, in order to reduce traffic and pollution.
After paying $21 for a membership card, users can rent a car for $6.40 per hour and drop if off at certain locations in the city.
Mexico authorities aim to potentially replace 40,000 vehicles in circulation with low-cost fuel-efficient vehicles.
