Hertz Avasa, with over 100 locations throughout Mexico, has implemented InspectionNotes mobile vehicle inspection software.

Hertz Avasa chose InspectionNotes because it could be integrated with its Thermeon CARS+ management system and it simplified the company’s check-in and checkout processes.

“InspectionNotes is a very important tool for us,” says Hector Romero, Hertz Avasa’s national fleet manager. “We replaced inefficient handwriting and paper forms with a mobile tool to capture inspection data and take pictures on checkout and check-in of our rental cars. It also emails a pdf to our renters with all inspection data, pictures, and signatures to provide complete transparency.”

According to Hertz Avasa, it previously had thousands of dollars worth of vehicle damage that went unreported due to lack of consistent documentation.

“The process of delivery and return of a rental vehicle is faster by utilizing the mobile tablet, and our associates charge more for damages while reducing the number of customer complaints,” says Romero. “It simplifies the process of deliveries and returns in ways you can’t imagine.”

Developed by Automobile Technologies in Newport Beach, Calif., InspectionNotes allows rental agents to perform mobile inspections and condition reports from a mobile tablet or smartphone. With the program, they can take pictures, document damage, and obtain digital signatures. Documents can then be printed on the spot or emailed as a PDF to customers.

Automobile Technologies also offers add-on modules for estimating, claims handling, vendor monitoring, and repair tracking to manage the claims and repair process. All information and documentation is accessible through a cloud-based dashboard, according to the company.
