Ride-Hailing App Ola Enters UK Market
The Indian-based ride-hailing app will begin servicing three regions in South Wales.

Ola, an Indian-based ride-haling service, will begin operations in three regions of South Wales: Cardiff, Newport, and Vale of Glamorgan, BBC News reports.
As a rival to ride-sharing app Uber, Ola will be the only ride servicing app in the region to offer users the option of private hire vehicles and black taxis on one platform.
The company said it will focus more on passenger safety, viable driver compensation, and strong community partnerships.
Ola, founded in 2011, plans to expand its ride-hailing service across the U.K. by the end of 2018 — adding to its operations in Australia, where it now operates in seven major cities.
