Sixt Begins Operating in Oman

Vacationers can use the car of their choice to visit the country’s many sights such as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the capital Muscat, the city of Nizwa with Fort Nizwa, the Hisn Tamah fortress in Bahla or the unique Wadi Nakhar gorge.

Sixt is pushing ahead with its international expansion and is now also present in Oman.

The mobility service provider is offering its local customers a wide range of premium services for all need. Vacationers can use the car of their choice to visit the country’s many sights such as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the capital Muscat, the city of Nizwa with Fort Nizwa, the Hisn Tamah fortress in Bahla or the unique Wadi Nakhar gorge. Business travelers and corporate customers, on the other hand, will find a wide range of mobility solutions in Oman for both short and long-term needs.

SIXT operates in Oman through the company Moosa Abdul Rahman Hassan & Co. and its car rental specialist Moosa Car Rentals LLC as franchisees. The mobility service provider will initially have a head office in Muscat (Al-Gubra), at Muscat International Airport, and at three other destinations in the country.

Further expansion of the network of locations is planned over the course of the year. In particular, the presence at airports and hotels is to be expanded. Sixt Oman is offering its local customers premium solutions for short-term and long-term rental as well as leasing.

The vehicle fleet includes sedans, SUVs, and all-wheel drive vehicles.
