British car rental brand Green Motion is expanding its international network with the opening of operations in South Africa.
Local car rental entrepreneurs Brian and Mark Hartmann, who come with decades of experience, acquired the rights to operate Green Motion to aid the further expansion of their business with a particular focus on developing their international inbound market.
Initially Green Motion South Africa will open in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Lanseria, Rhodesfield, and Milnerton with further locations across the country to be announced in due course.
"This is another tremendous step forward in Green Motion's development, with the launch of our brand in South Africa bringing our total number of countries of operation to 48, and demonstrates that despite the difficult trading conditions resulting from the continued spread of COVID-19, the demand for our brand and more importantly the essential mobility services we provide, remains strong," Green Motion's Founder and CEO Richard Lowden said in a statement.
Green Motion South Africa has also committed to launch Green Motion's pioneering Drive & Go contactless rental service powered by Move Mee across all its key locations, delivering a revolutionary new frictionless experience.
