Last week at the International Car Rental Show (ICRS), international car rental brand Green Motion successfully signed up a new affiliation covering Houston, Texas, continuing the brand's rapid expansion in the United States.

Acquired by local entrepreneur Kal Abushabaan, the operation will initially cover two Houston downtown locations, with further downtown destinations in the city planned for later in the year.

"It's great to see our U.S. expansion progressing rapidly with the recent launch of Green Motion Houston," Green Motion Founder and CEO Richard Lowden said in a statement. "We are delighted to welcome Kal and his team to the Green Motion family, and are very much looking forward to working with them to develop the brand in Texas."
