Mobility solutions provider, Free2move, announced in a statement the acquisition of Opel Rent, previously owned by Techno Einkauf GmbH and Verband deutscher Opelhändler (VDOH) Wirtschaftsdienst GmbH.

Adding Opel Rent to its network expands the company's service to about 1,000 agencies across Germany and Austria, according to the statement. Free2move brings mobility hubs across Europe and the U.S., with fleets of vehicles available by the minute, by the week, or by the month. Free2move vehicles are accessed through the Free2move app and with each individual customer account – no additional paperwork is required.

“We are looking forward to serving the customers in these markets, with flexible vehicle options that cater to its individual needs," said Alexander Momm, hHead of Germany & Austria operations, in the statement. "Opel Rent’s team with its expertise and skills will help us achieve both of those objectives.”
