On August 1, New Zealand-based GO Rentals announced a new partnership with Enterprise Holdings, securing the right to operate the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent a Car brands in New Zealand.

Through its network of affiliated companies, Enterprise Holdings manages a fleet of more than 1.85 million vehicles across its nearly 10,000 neighborhood and airport rental locations in more than 90 countries and territories.

Enterprise Holdings is looking forward to further expansion and growth in the New Zealand market, especially given the recent reopening of New Zealand to international travel, according to tthe press release.

GO Rentals Chief Operating Officer James Dalglish stated that with Tourism NZ having a major focus on North America and Air NZ resuming long-haul flights, this makes Auckland one of the most connected cities in the world and that the partnership couldn’t have come at a better time. "With the ramp-up of more international flights, including more planned flights between New Zealand and the United States, there is tremendous opportunity to bring the Enterprise standard of excellence to a broader base of customers," he said. "Our new partnership with Enterprise Holdings will make this more accessible to domestic and international visitors at an integral time, following a challenging period for many businesses around the country who rely heavily on tourism."

"As travel opens, more people need affordable, reliable rentals to see the sights of New Zealand they have dearly missed, and we are so thrilled and honored to be a part of their journey," GO Rentals Director John Osborne said. "This presents an incredible opportunity for our team. Enterprise brings international sales channels and many experts to our corporation.’’

GO Rentals said it has also acquired some of Redspot NZ's business assets, which include airport leases, fit outs, together with retaining their employees.
