Easirent
Joe Knight, an accomplished veteran of the car rental industry, has joined Easirent as its new Business Development Consultant, according to CEO Paul Hanley.
“The entire Easirent team and I are pleased and excited to be working with Joe,” says Hanley. “I worked with Joe 15 years ago when Easirent in the UK was affiliated with Fox. Joe has a wealth of experience and industry contacts that can help expedite Easirent’s expansion in the US.”
Knight shares Hanley’s enthusiasm noting all roads along his career have led him to Easirent.
For the past 22 years, Knight served as vice president of Airport Concessions and Properties at Fox Rent a Car. Here, he was involved in the planning and development of all26 US locations that are currently in operation. Prior to Fox, Knight worked for Budget, Dollar and Thrifty in various executive positions. He also owned and operated his own consulting company, Car Rental Concepts, providing fleet and financing programs to independents and licensees.
Knight has been a long-standing member of ACRA, serving as president from 2012 to 2017. “In my experience working with ACRA, I learned that while the big guys certainly have been able to build an industry, the independents and licensees carry the spirit of that success through their continued and dynamic growth of the off-airport operator,” Knight says.
“I look forward to working for Easirent and especially with Paul, a founding family member and successful entrepreneur with 14 stores in Florida, Texas and North Carolina,” said Knight of the new position.
