Finalrentals, a global car rental network, recently entered the Slovakian and Austrian markets, which bolsters its presence in Central Europe.
The company opened rental car outlets at the Bratislava International Airport and Vienna International Airport.
To drive this venture, Finalrentals has partnered with Andrej Nemec, a regional mobility industry leader with local knowledge and an understanding of market dynamics. Nemec’s expertise will match the company’s approach with the traveling demands of these major European hubs.
The partnership comes amid strong growth in the Central European car rental market, driven by surging travel demand and digital transformation in the mobility sector.
This dual-country expansion builds on Finalrentals’ mission to deliver high-quality, digitally driven car rental solutions to local and international customers.
Slovakia and Austria’s central position in Europe, paired with their flourishing tourism industries, makes them ideal markets, the company said.
“Vienna and Bratislava are vibrant centers of history, culture, and connectivity, attracting both leisure and business travelers,” said Ammar Akhtar, founder and CEO of Finalrentals, in a Nov. 22 news release.
Nemec added, “As tourism continues to grow and airports like Vienna and Bratislava play critical roles in connecting Europe, this partnership is poised to transform the car rental experience.”
Founded by Akhtar in 2019, Finalrentals is a UK-based fintech company that increases the online visibility of independent car rental businesses and connects rental car bookings with local communities.
