The Petrányi Group and Green Motion Hungary Zrt. will introduce the U-Save Car and Truck Rental brand to the Hungarian market in March when it opens a rental car outlet at Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport.
In January, mobility expert Gábor Dévai joined Green Motion Hungary as a co-owner, forming a partnership that spans the Petrányi Group’s 50 years of industry expertise, Green Motion’s reputation, and Dévai’s 22 years of sector experience.
Additional local mobility experts have joined the team, aiming to drive growth and innovation essential for the industry’s future.
Together, Green Motion and U-Save will deliver a broader range of services, catering to different customer segments, to establish both brands as key players among domestic and international car renters.
Green Motion will apply its eco-friendly fleet management as corporate demand for sustainable fleet services grows. This is particularly important in Hungary, where corporate fleets often remain idle 40% of the time, and many executives maintain larger, more expensive vehicles than necessary.
Green Motion will continue offering a low-emission fleet primarily composed of hybrid vehicles supported by paperless, digital processes.
The introduction of the U-Save brand, founded in the U.S. in 1979, provides an alternative for customers seeking reliable, efficient car rental options. U-Save will operate within the airport terminal at Ferenc Liszt International Airport in Budapest, with plans underway for a downtown location featuring digital solutions.
Zoltán Petrányi, owner of Petrányi Group, said in a news release: “Car usage habits are constantly evolving, and I believe the growth of tourism and the transformation of the mobility ecosystem will create new opportunities for us.”
Dévai, former managing director of Sixt Rent a Car Hungary and recipient of the 2023 Car Rental Company of the Year award, added, “Our goal is to deliver a customer experience comparable to a five-star boutique hotel where clients return for the outstanding service and overall experience.”
