Green Motion International will debut its brand in Qatar with two key locations supporting Doha International Airport and Doha Downtown set to open in April.
The global rental car provider for business and leisure travelers focuses on eco-friendly and sustainable approaches to its operations.
Doha, the capital of Qatar, is home to more than 80% of the country’s 2.8 million people, and more than 99% of the population lives in urban areas. The nation lies on a small peninsula attached to the northeastern side of the Arabian Peninsula and shares its southern border with Saudi Arabia. Due to its natural gas reserves, Qatar has one of the world’s richest economies, with a high GDP per capita. Citizens of more than 80 countries can enter Qatar visa-free.
Ahmed Abdelhamid, an experienced car rental operator with a regional track record, will operate the Qatar franchise.
"As we continue to expand our global footprint, partnering with experienced operators like Ahmed Abdelhamid and his team ensures that our customers receive the highest standards of service while supporting sustainable travel solutions,” said Green Motion CEO and founder Richard Lowden in a news release.
Green Motion International will exhibit at the International Car Rental Show at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from April 14 to 16.
