Carwiz Rent A Car, an international rental car franchise operating in more than 50 markets worldwide, recently opened two new locations in Curaçao and the Dominican Republic.

With this step, Carwiz follows its long-term strategy of expanding into island and tourism-driven markets, where mobility is a key part of the overall travel experience.

By entering Curaçao, one of the most renowned Caribbean islands, Carwiz enhances its regional network in a market where rental services are a vital part of any stay.

The local partner, Rent Car Curaçao Deals, specializes in reliable and flexible mobility solutions for leisure and business customers, with a strong focus on transparent pricing, a well-maintained fleet, and island-wide service availability. The branch is located near Willemstad International Airport, allowing customers to collect their vehicles promptly upon arrival.

Meanwhile, Carwiz has also launched operations in the Dominican Republic, in cooperation with local partner Verynice Rent a Car. Operations are focused on Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), the country’s most important airport and one of the busiest tourist airports in the Caribbean.

A high volume of international arrivals, strong tourism demand, and a larger share of long-stay visitors make Punta Cana an attractive and strategic location for strengthening Carwiz's network and presence in the Caribbean.

In addition to these new locations, Carwiz operates in Jamaica, St. Maarten, and Turks and Caicos, creating a Caribbean footprint by combining global franchise experience with local expertise.

“The Caribbean is a region where renting a car is not an additional service, but a fundamental part of the tourist experience,” said Krešimir Dobrilović, founder and CEO of Croatia-based Carwiz International, in a Jan. 13 news release. “Guests want freedom of movement, reliable vehicles, and clear, professional rental conditions. “Curaçao and the Dominican Republic align with our philosophy; these are markets with strong tourism potential and partners who understand local specifics while operating according to international standards.”
