After being banned from operating at Curacao International Airport, individual car rental companies filed a suit against Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) last week, according to a Curacao Chronicle report. These car rental operators were being fined each time they went to the airport to pick up customers, says the report.

As of July 22, the individual car rental companies are banned from operating at the airport, according to the report. Currently, Curacao International Airport allows only these six car rental companies to operate on the airport facility: Avis, Hertz, Budget, Thrifty, Alamo and National.

“The only thing we do is wait for customers, who have booked with us and paid, with a sign waiting at the airport and take them to the office, where we continue with the business,” Edgar Jardim, owner of Just Drive, one of the individual car rental companies, told the Curacao Chronicle.
