Enterprise Rent-A-Car is opening a new branch office in Hagerstown, Md., to meet the growing demand for car rental and mobility options in Washington County and the surrounding area, the company announced.

The new 3,800-square-foot Enterprise facility is more than triple the size of its previous location. In addition to an automatic car wash, the new branch features a parking lot that is spacious and easy to navigate.

Corporate Stewardship

The new Hagerstown branch office, constructed on a former restaurant site, was built in adherence with the company’s sustainable construction initiatives. This standard set of design and management guidelines ensures that all new construction and facility retrofit projects help advance the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and smart business.

Enterprise is committed to understanding its environmental impact and adopting measures to reduce it. From the recycled carpet tiles to the energy-efficient roof, the new Hagerstown branch office was built using sustainable construction materials wherever possible. In addition to the latest technology, the facility is also equipped with a building automation system, lighting sensors, energy efficient doors and windows, and a water recycling system for wash bays.

Community Impact

The Hangerstown office will be run by five employees, including a branch manager and assistant manager who participated in the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training Program. The program not only teaches college-educated men and women how to run a business and provide excellent customer service, but also how to empower teams. Other hallmarks of the program include extensive training in a wide range of business skills, including profit and loss management, business-to-business marketing and sales, and logistics.
