In an effort to aid those misplaced by the wildfires raging in Attica, Greece, Avis announced today that it will make financial donations to organizations that are supporting wildfire victims, according to Greek Travel Pages.

“During these tragic moments for our country, our thoughts lie with our fellow citizens who have been hit by the fires,” Avis officials said in an announcement. “With deep sadness and much care, we at Avis remain on hand to offer our help whenever and wherever it is needed.”

The rental car company has already donated trucks to the Scouts of Greece to help transport donations and supplies to affected areas. Avis has also supplied vehicles to the Municipality of Marathon to transport people and supplies.

Additionally, a group of Avis employees have volunteered in the fire-stricken areas.
