Ola, a ridesharing platform based in India, expands to three regions in New Zealand: Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington.

Passengers will have access to quality rides and safety features on the app, including an in-app emergency button that allows users to instantly share ride information with family, friends, and emergency services with 24/7 support.

“Ola’s arrival will create a compelling experience that puts the quality of rides first,” Brian Dewil, country manager New Zealand at Ola, said in a statement. “I’m excited to build the local team and business in New Zealand and provide a healthy contribution to the nation’s local mobility infrastructure.”
