Laak Mobility Group (LMG), a holding company that includes Europcar Mexico, announces plans to open in Panama in July and Costa Rica by the end of the year.

Today LMG has more than 125 offices that cover most major airports and cities and a fleet of over 6,000 units distributed throughout Mexico.

LMG will start operations in Panama in July. Another opening is planned in Costa Rica for the end of the year.

LMG recently launched a pilot for Europcar Mexico customers that allows them to pick up a car using a tablet in car rental offices. Customers use the tablets to fill in reservation information and are directed directly to a vehicle with the keys in the car.

“This new service is a direct result of LMG’s history of technological innovation,” the company said in a statement. “The Tablet service will ensure a better customer experience by avoiding long lines and providing an intuitive and simple process.”
