Avis Budget Group Enhances Booking Tool
New site will allow agents in Latin America and the Caribbean to issue paperless, prepaid vouchers for Avis and Budget car rentals worldwide.
Avis Budget Group, Inc. unveiled an enhanced version of its Web-based booking tool for travel professionals located in Latin America and the Caribbean. Starting in June, the new site will allow agents to issue paperless, prepaid vouchers for Avis and Budget car rentals worldwide. Until now, Latin America-based travel professionals used a booking tool to make reservations and a separate system to issue paper vouchers that customers were required to present at the rental counter at the time of vehicle pickup.
"We streamlined the reservation process for agents and made traveling more convenient for consumers," said Kaye Ceille, senior vice president of international sales and marketing for Avis Budget Group. "Paperless vouchers allow for faster processing at the time of reservation and at the rental counter, and eliminate the need for travelers to present vouchers when picking up a vehicle."
Available in English, Spanish and Portuguese, the new booking tool is faster, easier to navigate and more user-friendly. Travel professionals can view all available vehicles, compare multiple rates at a time, create, modify and cancel reservations as well as issue, adjust and void vouchers for Avis and Budget rentals. The tool is available for reservations on all car classes, including specialty vehicles such as minivans and those in the Avis Cool Car Collection or Budget's Street Fleet, a collection of fun-to-drive vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette and the Ford Mustang. Agents can also book optional equipment for their customers, including child safety seats, where2 GPS navigation units and Avis Blast/Budget Blast, the Company's Sirius XM radio units available with all car classes.
