New Web Site Helps Consumers Shop for the Best Promo Codes
The Web site, AutoSlash, searches for all of the promotional codes posted by the car rental companies and applies the best discount to a customer’s trip itinerary. The Web site also does a secondary review after a reservation is made to make sure it applied the best promo code.
A free new Web site aims to be a one-stop shop for finding and applying promotional codes for rental cars, according to Budget Travel.
The site, AutoSlash, helps consumers take advantage of the promo codes that deliver one-way rentals for as little as $1 a day, according to Budget Travel's blog.
If a rate drops after the consumer has booked a rental, AutoSlash will e-mail the user if the base rate for the rental has dropped, automatically re-booking the user at the new lower rate.
After finding all of the lowest prices (including taxes and fees), the Web site searches for all of the promo codes posted by the car rental companies and applies the best discount for the trip itinerary.
In the 24 hours after the consumer makes a reservation, the Web site does a secondary review to make sure it truly applied the best promo code for that particular user's situation and sends the user an e-mail if it missed a better promotion.
