ACRA Announces 2008-09 Board of Directors
Executive Director Sean Busking will introduce the new Board of Directors and elected officers at the upcoming Car Rental Show, March 31-April 1, 2008 at the Las Vegas Hilton.
The American Car Rental Association recently announced its 2008-09 Board of Directors and elected officers.
As Executive Director of ACRA, Sean Busking would like to thank outgoing President Dick Radzis as well as all of the members of the 2007-08 Board of Directors for their dedication and service to the betterment of the association. Busking also welcomes Bob Barton of U-Save Car and Truck Rental as the new ACRA president. Barton is chief operating officer of U-Save Car & Truck Rental and parent company, Franchise Services of North America. Barton, a 23-year veteran of the rental industry, has served as executive director of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group and was vice president of Budget Group Inc., the holding company for Budget Rent A Car Corporation. Barton began his career at Cruise America, the world’s largest RV rental company.
“It is an honor to have been chosen president of ACRA,” Barton says. “I am eager to help bring ACRA into a new level of visibility within the industry. Let’s make ACRA the fire prevention officer instead of the fireman and take a proactive approach to industry issues as they develop.” 2008-09 ACRA Board of Directors:
• Bob Barton, U-Save: President
• Joe Knight, FOX: Vice President
• Dick Radzis, ACE: Secretary
• Rick Stevens, Payless: Treasurer
