ACRA’s board of directors adopted a 2021 strategic plan to assist smaller ACRA members maintain their membership and to enhance ACRA’s political “swat” on Capitol Hill:
2021 Dues – For ACRA members with 399 or fewer vehicles in their fleets that cannot afford their 2021 ACRA dues, those dues payments will be waived; however, no ACRA member is off the hook with respect to promoting the industry’s overall goals, whether you pay dues in 2021 or not; and,
ACRA “Army” – For too long, the industry has relied on the “bigs” to promote the industry in state capitols and in D.C. and to defend the industry against harmful legislation and regulation; this has been the tradition despite the fact that many smaller ACRA members – franchisees, independents, dealers, etc. – have excellent political contacts at the city, state and federal levels of government; in 2021, ACRA will be recruiting and building the ACRA “Army” of citizen lobbyists – with the assistance of ACRA’s professional lobbyists – to promote state and federal legislation that help the industry and oppose ill-considered legislation that doesn’t.
