Alamo Launches Discounted Prepay Option Online
TULSA, Okla. -- Alamo Rent A Car has launched an online prepay option that lets customers save 10% off their rate.
TULSA, Okla. -- Alamo Rent A Car has launched an online prepay option that lets customers save 10% off their rate.
The customer's credit card is automatically charged for the rental at the time the reservation is made. If the reservation is cancelled within less than 24 hours of pickup time, or the vehicle is not picked up, a $25 fee applies. If cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, the fee is reduced to $10.
The 10% Prepay & Save discount applies to Alamo's base rates and does not apply to taxes, fees, surcharges and optional products.
"Prepay & Save" follows Alamo's release last week of "Online Check-In," which lets any customer bypass the rental counter, go straight to the car and head for the exit.
"Prepay & Save is just one more way Alamo continues to drive online innovation," said Jerry Dow, Alamo's chief marketing officer.
Alamo also guarantees best rates on its own Web site.
"Our branded Web site, Alamo.com, will always be the best place for our customers to make a rental reservation," Dow said. "It's the place customers will always find our best prices, last-minute deals, and the newest features that make the travel process faster and easier."
