Amarillo International Airport to Consolidate Rental Car Facilities
As part of the airport’s improvement program, four rental car facilities will be consolidated into one and the cars will be moved closer to the terminal at an estimated cost of $4.2 million.
According to the Amarillo Globe-News, the Amarillo Airport Advisory Board received updates on plans to consolidate four rental car facilities (conrac) into one at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport in Amarillo, Texas.
Improvement plans include moving the cars closer to the terminal as well.
Rental companies will begin collecting a $3 facility fee in November for each day a car is rented to help fund the project. The estimated cost is $4.2 million.
