American Car Rental Association Names New Board of Directors
Joe Knight has resigned as president of the American Car Rental Association (ACRA) but will remain on the board. Bill Plamondon has been named the new president, Robert E. Muhs is the new vice president, and Eric Rothman was appointed as a new board member.

American Car Rental Association (ACRA) has accepted the resignation of its president Joe Knight. He will remain on the ACRA board. Knight serves as the executive vice president of business development for Fox Rent A Car. He has been on the ACRA board since 2005.
“His many years of service to the industry association were truly appreciated and his guidance will be missed,” said Sharon Faulkner, executive director of ACRA.
Bill Plamondon, former vice president of ACRA, has been named as ACRA’s new president. He currently serves on the board of directors for Advantage Rent A Car. Robert E. Muhs, vice president of government affairs with Avis Budget Group, has been appointed as the new vice president of ACRA.
Additionally, Eric Rothman has been appointed as a new board member. Rothman serves as the president and CEO of Fast Track Leasing in New York. He co-founded the company in 2014 and has more than 18 years of experience in investment and management. He currently serves on ACRA’s Mobility Taskforce.
