Australian-based Atlas Car and Truck Rental continues its expansion with a new location at Gold Coast’s Coolangatta Airport. This new facility will open on Feb. 1.
“It is an exciting time for Atlas," said Scott Atkins, the general manager at Atlas. “The first on-airport location for us and our steady growth has certainly made us one of Australia’s largest independent family-owned rental businesses.”
Atlas has expanded to eight corporate-owned locations and two licensees, says the company. In 2016, it will also see new locations in Newcastle and Canberra and at its existing branches in Melbourne — with a new supersite that will open by the end of January and service Melbourne Airport.
Additionally, Atlas plans to open at least six other international branches and affiliates in New Zealand and Southeast Asia, according to the company. Currently, Atlas now runs over 2,000 vehicles nationally, with 1,000 more units expected to be fleeted this year.
Atlas Car & Truck Rental is a family-owned business that has 25 years of experience in the market.
